Early Learning Community

In 2018 the Reach Foundation and Save the Children launched the Feltham Early Learning Community, part of a national initiative.

The Early Learning Communities programme aims to improve early learning outcomes for children growing up in poverty in the UK.

It builds on the evidence base and knowledge of local services, organisations and families in four communities in England and Wales: Feltham, Margate, Bettws and Sheffield.

In these communities we're exploring how working together through a whole system approach can fundamentally change the way children living in poverty are supported to learn and develop.

The Early Learning Community was driven by a process of developing a strategy and Theory of Change using this toolkit, which was used by the team at Reach to develop our strategy.

The work of the Early Learning Community is located in the Reach Children’s Hub and has supported our strands of work in the Early Years, Feltham Pathways and in Community Support.
